![]() ![]() History of spline rolling toolRolling spline tool (also known as a “spline roller”) looks like a dulled version of a pizza cutter. It originally came from something very different. In the early 1920’s a gentleman by the name of Julius Alexander Muhlberg was co-owner of the company called Winchester and Muhlberg. Julius was an innovator. He took another tool’s handle, drilled a hole in the center of a silver dollar, and attached them together with a nut and bolt. He found it to be much quicker way to insert screening into the sides of a wood frame rather than nailing the screen into the frames. The original tool was an inspiration that makes us screeners jobs an easier one today. Just imagine if we didn’t have our spline rolling tool? DisclaimerVisit the Terms and Conditions page.
